My heavy rig on 35's and stock brakes was pretty sketchy when running down the road at 75 and trying to get stopped in a reasonable distance. No matter how hard I pressed on the brake pedal, it was going to be a long stopping distance. With the WJ fronts and Explorer rear discs the difference in braking power is huge. Add to that it drives so much better with the crossover steering vs the inverted Y that came stock on XJ's. I'm super pleased with the results. Slotted / drilled rotors or not, the WJ upgrade is a huge improvement.
