I've got 5" of lift on a bastard pack w/ relocation brackets and shackles. Plan to swap the bastard pack for a 3" leaf when I get the rest of the Jeep sorted out. I made the relocation brackets myself, not a bad welding project. Cranked em out in one evening.

From what I've read/heard, I'd suggest the brackets, shackles, and 3" springs. Better ride than the 4.5" springs w/ stock shackles. From my experience, I suggest the brackets, shackles and 3" springs.

Report back what you pick.

It's gonna need new leaf springs the ones on it are pretty worn out. Also one of the shackles is a little bent up (guessing previous owner tried a recovery from that point) so I will be getting new of those.

Just looking for real life advice fellas. Thanks in advance.
We carry both Zone Offroad and Rubicon Express, both known for a quality budget lift for the Cherokee. If it were me I would go with the full 3" leaf pack and a longer shackle. Better ride on road and better performance offroad. For coils always go full length on the coil. Don't need spacers messing with you off road. If you are still in the market for a kit, you can call us. We would be glad to help.

Definitely gonna go with 3" leafs and relocation brackets. I don't tow anything with it. The added off-road performance is definitely why I wanna go that route with it. Any recommended brands for the shackles??

I just read through this thread and you made the right decision. The guys telling you to just get 4.5" springs have no idea what they are talking about. The flatter the leaf pack, the better it will ride and the longer the shackle, the more articulation you'll have. As for what brand of shackles, they are all pretty close to the same, honestly. I ran RE boomerang shackles for a while and really liked them.
