But with newer xjs, I think you are right.
Just cause people dont get vibes doesnt mean its ok. You risk loosing fluid or dropping the shaft since your not making full contact on the output shaft. Plan to at least put an sye on later.

I also did the 35 to 8.25 swap, so my shaft was actually too long until my lift. I am golden as far as length goes. I make plenty of contact with the output shaft, and I am NOT planning on putting in an sye later.
