The list that has been posted time and again for things needed for a lift height as it relates to height is for real. BTY I needed shims even with my SYE as do a lot of us. Over a 3" lift costs a lot more money and parts.

Good Luck!
I haven't gone that high as of yet. I have the parts but haven't installed them yet. I picked up a Spicer yoke and a driveshaft a guy was parting out of yesterday so it may be usable. At least the driveshaft should be. $50 for the yoke, CV driveshaft, tailight and some quick discos.

I'm aware of what will happen when going higher, I was just unsure of the magnitude of it.

I got these the other day. I was told he got the yoke from Spicer. But it looks like it's been cut down a good bit already. If it is from spicer, this is the one that uses the 1310 joints right? Would it be the same u joint for the pinion side as well?

Good luck anyway and hope you don't cause any more issues.
Because its not "ALWAYS" needed. I am running 4 1/2" with no SYE and 6* shims and a 1" TC drop and have no problems. So if he is building as he goes due to money, this is a great way to do it.

Yeah that and time. I've acquired some of the materials to do the HnT already. I'm just not sure if the yoke I got is gonna be long enough since it's already been cut down. If not then no big deal, basically got it free when I paid $20 for the DS.
