goferit tie rod flip

Default goferit tie rod flip

anyone using the goferit tie rod flip insert? i got a zj steering ready to go in just wondering if its worth the extra time and money to do it.

It raises the tie rod on the driver side which isn't much if any of an upgrade. They talk like it's high steer but your drag link on the passenger side is still in the stock location. Makes you tie rod look bent since it runs up slightly. Teraflex sells the same thing for a bit less as do many other companies.

I run it. because why not. I think ruffstuff has these too last I checked like $7? idk. it gives slightly higher clearance on one side that's all

to sell you something that you will just remove later on down the road and install an OTK. just sayin.

but if your budget minded, then you gotta do what your wallet allows...lol

I installed the tie rod end inserts from Rusty's. Took a little machining of the hole to flip the steering (also running the Rusty's HD steering set up) and haven't had any problems or complaints. Gave me about 2" of clearance, on the cheap!

heres the link basicly it makes one side otk for more clearance figured it might be an ok mod for the price i was just wondering if theres a down side to it?

No down side but not really an up side either. Better to spend your money on something that will make a difference.
