Default Give me the run down on full widths...

Not the average stuff..but I know I'm doing a d44/9". I was curious about my tcase and such honestly. Will it be strong enough? On most builds I see guys doing D300 swaps and it made me wonder if it was more of a strength thing..

If it goes through it would be 35's, d44/9", powered by a 4.2L mini stroker..est 245hp/300ftlbs at the crank, ax15/np231.
Trails such as John Bull, Some of the Hammers & the Rubicon..anything else thats in Cali/AZ

just keep the driveshafts from over-extending/ collapsing and keep the tcase from getting hit, and the 231 should last you a long time.

And if it breaks, toss another cheap 231 in there!

Thanks guy..just always thought that was an issue or weak point. I think I'm going to pull apart a dakota tcase at a yard and get the wider chain sprocket and run a 1.25" chain.

If I can find axles this will happen..if not, well then maybe one day!

I'd love to but thats 1000 bucks lol. I was looking at a set of Jk d30/d44 with 4.10s & a Elocker in the rear for 800 pick up. Brakes and all, need rotor & pads. But it appears they were sold before I could commit

No now my hunt will continue I guess...

How do you tell the difference between the cast or welded wedges on the d44's?

Theres a guy local who has a pile of axles litterally and I know I looked at a few 44's but looked away cause I saw the wedges.

Theres a local who is a leader, or head guy in the HD wheel club. He got me in contact with another HD wheeler guy who had D60 Rock Jocks put in I guess. I really wanted those axles, as the front is about bolt in minus the coil bucks and adjusting the lower CA mount a few degrees.

Anyway..I'll be looking at that pile of axles again..hoping to find a good d44 & 9" I can use! I have looked over and researched alot...but I think I'll pull the axles I think are good out and take pics of them and let everyone here tell me which to buy lol.
