Spartan locker in the dana 30
Chrysler 8.25 rear open carrier
32x11.50/15's BFG A/T on Centerline's
was 15 mpg with 3.55 just changed to 4.10's and checked my first tank@ 18 mpg. Of course I've been driving like an old man on my new gears...oh, wait...I am an old man
In the making:rear tire carrier. Had it on the roof and it caused excessive wind drag.
I keep up with my mileage by GPS

take all this info with a grain of salt. nobody has said that they have re-calibrated the speedometer gear to compensate for tires and gears.

i have a 95 xj
5 speed
131,xxx miles
33's
4.56's
and have had my speedometer gear professionally calibrated.
weather i ***** foot it or romp on it i get between 10 and 12 mpg. if it s icy and i leave it in 4x4 for starting traction i still get 10.

i also have a beefy grill guard, roof rack, and 4 lights on top of that.
i feel it creates alot of drag at freeway speeds

It might weight you down some, but as far as aerodynamic drag these things already have the aerodynamics of a brick wall! lol
