Default GEARS,TIRES, AND MPG's

Hey everybody. So I have seen these questions asked all over this forum about a hundred times each. So this thread isnt really looking for input our what you think would work. Im just curious on what Size tires and gears your runnin in on xj and what kind of mpg's your getting out of it.

Now What I would like to see is what kind of tranny you have and if you've done any upgrades to the engine for better mpg's along with how many miles are on the xj and what size tires and gears you run.

Last but not least post some pics of your rig if ya want! Cause we all know a thread is better with pictures!

This could be a great thread & possibly worthy of a sticky (granted we pack it with info)!

I'm running:
'89, 4.0, 4x4, 240,000 miles (only performance upgrade- home brewed "not so cool air")
D30/D35 3.55:1 (stock gears)
31x11.5x15 TSL bias swampers
MPG= A whopping 10 average MPG!

I know BAD right... Just bought some 4.56:1 USA grears, rear yukon shafts (getting a 8.25 29spline), so I can run 33"s or 35"s!?!?! not sure yet, kinda wondering if anyone's got input on a 4.56 on 35"s setup???

if not I'll find out soon enough...

Question for you guys with oversized tires and getting 20+mpg did you have your odometer calibrated for the over sized tires? If not your figueres are way off.
