Default Gears question

Hey all,

Quick question, I'm looking to re-gear this fall and it's going to be a long process. My plans are to pick up a 8.25 with 4.10s already installed and add a limited slip I picked up for cheap. I may end up putting this 4.10 axle on for a while to conserve fuel and save up for a D30 with 4.10. Since my D30 would still be running 3.55s could I pull the front drive shaft and still have a functioning vehicle?

yes you can run without the DS in the front and still rol. just DO NOT USE 4WD!!!! you can even leave the front DS in without any problems but again DO NOT USE 4WD!!!

Ok, thought so just wanted to be sure.

I'm sure as heck not going to try it...but what about a 242 with Full Time 4x4? More curious than anything.

if you pull the front shaft you can go ahead and run the 4wd if you like. wont be real effective though
