need and will want are two different things. Assuming you have an auto, you will WANT to go at least to 4.56, but you can continue to use your 3.73 if regearing isnt an option

Its an automatic and I would like to keep the 3.73 but I was worried about how it would do on trails with 33's

You'll find you need to run a little higher RPM with those gears but it's not bad. Just takes a bit more to get them moving with the higher gears, numerically lower, than with lower gears.

I had 456s with my 33s. The damn thing hauled *** lol, but wasn't very efficient on the highway. I never got to use it on the trail because the rearend blew up, but I didn't have to hit the gas on the hills around my house, it would crawl like crazy in 4lo. I'm back on 355s with my 33s, still. From what I understand, 411s will be the closest to stock as you can get with 33s. That's what I'm going for next.

without question you will wish you had gone for at least 4.56s not long after you go for the 4.11s

4.10s will bring you back to stockish but since you have 3.73 gears now its gonna make a slight difference. If your not doing the work your self or even if you are gears and bearings are not cheap and installations can run from 500-1000+.

You may want to go with 4.56, it leaves a little room for expansion (tire wise) and you will love how much power the truck has. If you have heavy mud tires 4.56 the better.

I have 4.88s and 35s and love it, I was going to go 4.56 but i bought the front diff with 4.88s in it. Even tho everyone says 4.88s and 35s are close to stock, (like 4.10ish and stock) my truck has some serious *****. I beat my boss who has a stock cherokee on our way home all the time.

Goodluck with your choice.

Haha. No one said a thing about being able to get up to any kind of speed. Your a little off topic, friend. runnin stock gears on 35's must be really awesome in deep mud, or sand, or on a hill... But I'm not dissin, or anything, just steering the conversation back on track...

Idk, if there is such a thing as grip coefficient, my 235 wranglers have been known to exceed it.. Actually only once, with 3 people in it and on steep shot in loose sandy gravel.. Low gear to the rescue!!
