Default Gear ratio conflict

I've been thinking of regearing my 29 spline 8.25 and my HP D30 down to 4.10s, but for some reason all the 8.25 gears that I find are 4.11s, but the D30s are 4.10. Even within the same brand of gears. With the .01 difference cause any issues or should I gear it to a different ratio?

I have however, found that both axles have aftermarket support for 4.56 gears. Should I just go to 4.56? what have you guys ran, or suggest? I plan to swap my gearing when I go up to 33in tires. I have a 5 speed, and don't want to high of freeway RPMs if that helps.

let me know if I need to supply any more info

Its not worth re-gearing twice, either go 4.56 now. or wait for the bigger tires to re-gear. stock gearing is good enough for 32's, going to 4.10's isn't worth the money IMO. just my .02

4.10-4.11 is the same.

With a manual the 4.10/4.11 will be pretty much perfect with 33s.

I have 3.07 now, but I see what your saying as far as the difference goes.

Like mentioned, I don't want to go to 4.10s and find out I had plenty of room to go higher.

Is there anyone here who has 33s and 4.10s or 4.46s (or even 4.88s)in a 5 speed that can share their thoughts? I'm specifically curious about fuel economy and highway rpms at 65-70mph. I want to go as high as I can with ought hurting my gas consumption too much. I will only see dirt a few times a year, but I want it to be capable.

Thanks for the links an everything. They were very informative. I really appreciate it.

I think most have missed that you have a 5 speed. I know several running 33s and 35s with 4.10s and a manual, don't know their mpg though but it should put you back close to stock.

@ 33" and 4.56 you are stock on an AW4, your AX15 will run a little over stock. But I agree that the jump from 3.07 to 4.10 or 4.11 is going to be pricey and might not be quite enough of a gain. Consider that your going to have to start sacrificing on road ability for off road ability sooner or later.. At least to some degree.. So my vote is 33's on 4.56's

Actually 33s with 4.10s would be as close as stock as you could with AW4, but I agree 33s and 4.56 would be best

Ok... I was wondering.. Thanks for clarifying! So w/ the ax15 and on 33's and 4.10's you'd be a bit over stock, right?
