Default Gear questions

So I'm looking at upgrading the gears. Lets start off by letting you guys know what I got going on. Dana 30 and 8.25 29 spine. I have a 3" AAL. with a 2" lift block in the rear and a 1" puck up front on 32x11.5x15's. I was told I should run 4.56 or 4.10's. I know mpg's and jeeps dont work well. But I get 17 on the highway and it is my DD. so my question is what gear you guy think?

Most guys do 4.56 on here around 33s. 4.10 works well with 31s and 32s. I'd go with 4.56 because we all know we will increase our tire size. But some real tech guys could chime in.

always go deeper. 4.56 or 4.88 with bigger tires. and I certainly agree with building axles first and foremost, but your suspension needs a little attention as well...

Heres a question. I just went to a set of 373's tonight. I just noticed about 1/8 of an inch of slack in the front drive shaft since the swap. Will this be a big deal?

i swapped out the 3.07s to the 3.55s out of a spare set of axles i had layin around (we torn down an automatic xj) into mine which is stick. depends on what your final drive ratio is and what size tires your running. i plan to stick with the 33's i have now and it seems to be ideal as a daily driver with descent mpg's. but i would check the tech thread about tires and gear ratios to be sure on your application.
