Actually strength has to do with surface area engagement in this case. The more teeth of the same size is going to be stronger.
If teeth are larger, then the larger tooth can have more strength.
I don't think the difference in this case will be that much at all.
4:56 gets you a larger ring, but smaller pinion.

Yes, but its not something to obsess over and shoudlnt influence your gear ratio decscision. If you are worried about it truss the axle housing, and get a full case locker to minimize gear deflection.
