Gear options
So, can I run front dana 30 with 3.55 gear and rear 8.25 with 3.73 gears?
could take the ring gear off a dana 30 axle with 3.55 and install on 8.25 LSD?

Yes, the front and rear gears need to match in your XJ... I know mud boggers run different gears front and rear but trust me you won't get away with it unless you only run in 3-4 ft of mud...

Wait but practice makes better.
Those that are capable to read and have tools to be able to make specs hit within within range will do well.
Id assume thats almost none on this forumn but those types of do it yourself capable humans do exist.
