i am having the same problem too, and my gauges don't work at all.
this has happened to me before, and it was the fuse 17 or 15, under the hood.
& i have checked again. those fuses aren't blow.. so i am lost just like you!

its an 01 cherokee with the 4.0 and no it just did it today ive heard it can be anything from connection behind cluster, sensors on tranny or rearend, tcm, pcm, bad ground so idk where to even start.

Main man jon at 4wp here in Raliegh NC, had to change his.. and it caused him dash problems..

but this may be the most obvious thing, i was stumped on my gaiges today..
i went and got new sparks, thermostat and stuff & after changing the the jeep didn't start. i had to get my battery charged, after getting it charged my gaiges work again so maybe disconnect the battery and see what happens.
