Merry Christmas everyone. I have a really weird issue here. I bought my jeep about a year ago and ever since I've had it the tach would randomly stop working so you give it a good ole love tap and it worked fine after that. A couple days ago however my dome lights have been working on and off all of my gauges are at nothing and the headlights turn on randomly when the switch is on. I can smell something electrical burning when I start it up. Also the rear speakers make this static noise even if the radio is off. It's a 98 cherokee. Any help would be appreciated since I had planned a wheeling trip on Friday. Thanks

 

Sounds like something is shorting out, My advise get a multimeter and FSM start chasing wires
