I have a 97 XJ and i don't have a temp gauge or anything and i would like one. I was wondering if any one had taken the gauge pod out of a CJ and modified it to fit an XJ? or if there were any other ideas for getting some more gauge information in the XJ.

If you have just the idiot light gauge cluster, just swap with the full cluster from one that has it. You need to change the oil pressure sender and temp sender over.I did mine. Its in my build thread.

Oh yeah...since you have a 97 make sure you get the electronic speedo

On a 97, you don't even have to change the sending units. Just get the full gauge cluster, swap it for yours and you're set.
