35s is a little shaky on the d30 but It depends on how you wheel it you could always go with a narrow width 44 in the front for now and go with the 8.25 rear but I def would not go with one tons for anything less than 38s even 37s on a well built 44 would be fine that's what I'm running but 35s on tons is pointless and as far as width goes you can prob just get some spacers to push the tires out and be damn close to a 44/9 set up

why do you need big axles? i dont understand how so many newjacks here wheel two or three times on some small rock and think they need monster drivelines. plenty of people wheel with 35s on "stock" axles (even with a locked 30, oh my!) and dont have problems. i wheeled on 31s open/open for a year, 31s open/locked for a year, and 33s open/locked for 2 years. in that time, i did trails all over the country from easy to holy ***** wtf am i doing here. never once did i feel the need for tons, or more lift, or giant tires... i just would have liked a locked front end.

i built my current jeep to be confident on 37s, unfortunately my budget limited me to 35s but i'm still very happy with where i am with the jeep... but it cost a LOT more than i thought it would, and took way more time than i wanted it to.

Yaa I try to go wheel as much as possible but I also am rethinking this whole plan, like I said I kinda saw an xj with that setup on 40s and thought it was the coolest looking thing in the world but as of right now I guess I'm just going to do some major trimming to the fenders and run 32 or 33s probably but I also want to have decent flex because I want to start trying a bit more crawling I guess so again thank you all for you're inputs and steering me away from what sounds like something I would have wasted lots of money I don't have on
