Assuming there is some sort of electrical short. feeling like I've tried everything. Old pump was pumping intermittently, causing the jeep to sputter when driving. Idled fine. Replaced it along with the fuel tank, since the existing tank had been sitting for 5+ years. got everything installed and hooked back up and now i can't get it to run. pump primes for about a second and then shuts off. when i crank it, the engine turns over for a second and dies. tried replacing CPS, nothing. Now noticing that when i brake, the pump runs constantly as long as im braking. as it pumps the fuel gauge drops. also should note that i have around 7-8 gallons in it. Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone solves my problem i'll happily send over a tip.
