front sway bar hits frame
Any tricks or tips to remedy this problem. I have a full traction long arm kit on my xj and the sway bar upper link bolt rubs the unibody on both sides from the sway bar sliding side to side in the bushing. Bushings are good, not worn and sway bar is tight. Its not terrible, no horrible noise and does not seem like anything is going to break, just looking for a solution. Thanks in advance.

I had this happen once. Does it only rub on one side? Just disconnect, take a hammer and tap the sway bar over to the other side a bit. Every now and then my sway bar will walk to one side or the other if I flex without disconnecting. Also pick up some new bushings so that it stays a bit tighter and prevents it from sliding to one side.

I also had this happen. In my case, my driver's side front coil spring had worked its way out of the perch, causing the axle to be off center. Its easy to check...just look at the bottom of each coil, you can see if the en of the coil is properly seated in the perch. Pretty easy to fix also...just jack up the front and sag your suspension...then twist the coil back into place. You might need to persuade it a little. Then make sure you install coil spring retainers...mine didn't have any.
Might not be your problem...but you never know.
