Default Front locker install

So i've been watching videos and doing research on how to install my no-slip in my dana 30. I've seen and read about removing the carrier and actually removing the ring gear from the carrier, putting the locker in, and just throw everything back in. With the line of work i'm in (cnc machining), i just can't see doing this without things not going back EXACTLY where they were. I'm not too experienced in the differential field so help would be appreciated.

Oh. I read your post wrong. You mean the thrust washers? I know that. I'm actually in the middle of installing an aussie in the rear right now. Waiting for some thrust washers to come in because mine were cracked. Stupid chrysler. Have to order a kit of washers instead of just the two i need.

I've heard you can do it without it's just easier when you pull it out. Mainly for the roll pin i think.

It wasnt hard at all to install it inside the carrier. The pin was easy once I found a perfect long rod to tap it put. The the shaft pin came out along with spiders then input locker in and new shaft and pin. Done in about 2 hours.
