Default Front locker

If I put a lunchbox locker in the front will it effect daily driving on pavement?

No, your jeep will handle like normal in 2wd, as long as you install the locker correctly

I'm running an aussie in front and a spartan in the rear. I have to vehicles but I drive my jeep about every other day. A lunchbox in the rear is barely noticable as well

Mine likes to snag sometimes at low speeds pulling into a driveway or soemthing, not sure why. Might have to do with my front driveshaft ujoints being shot. Most of the time you can't really tell its there in 2wd though

This is true, but you aren't supposed to run rear lunchboxes with a 5 speed anyway

Allow me to rephrase. It is perfectly fine to run them. However it is much more noticable with a manual. I can't remember which website or locker it was, but one of them said it was not recommended for manual transmissions, I can't find it not though

Mainly because how positively the torque is applied to the diff. There is no give like with a torque converter in an automatic. Of course, your driving style and clutch habits can change that. The other thing would be the downshifting on a manual when coming to a stop is more abrupt than in an auto where the transmission almost coasts.

You can definetely run the ratcheting locker in a manual, you will just need to get used to it.

That all being said. Put it in the front.

Must be why I had a bad experiance with a LockRite in my 99 TJ (4cyclinder & 5 Speed). Took the dam thing out within 5 days of installation. Hmmmmm, makes me double think Spartans in front & back now....
