Default Front Fender Armor

I found a site a couple weeks ago that made 3/16 thick steel fender covers for the front. They were bent the same shape as the front fenders and bolted on.

I can't find them again. I have searched for a couple hours looking.

Anyone have the link to them?

They were a couple hundred dollars.

What was nice about them is they were bent out of a solid piece. They were not welded.

wouldn't some exterior tubing be a bit more weight-saving and do the same job? I still think a "thicker" fender would collapse the same without some backing support. Post some pictures if you find it.

Jeeptubes.com sells them for 160 a pair, as well as THOR for the same price. I have a set in the mail now, as well as the tubes fender kit from jeep tubes. I got rear quarter panels from jrc and tubes from jeep tubes to match.

The prices of steel are all well and good, except if you don't have the tools or knowledge to use them.

No better time to get the tools and learn how to use them. I never used a tube bender before, but plan on giving it a try this summer. We all learn by DOING, not letting someone else do it for us.

First time I ever built front tube fenders with a hydraulic bender, I'm a welder. I had no clue what I was doing, looks like I did tho,
