Front Diff options
Just opened up the front diff to service it on my 96 Cherokee sprt, as it was slipping on the trail, thing is completely damaged needs a rebuild. Been doing some research and may be cheaper and easier to throw in an Aussie locker? I have a Ford 8.8 rear, does that gearing matter for the front? i run 33" tires on a 6.5 rustys long arm lift, Any tips and suggestions on a good cost effective way to get it redone? id be happy with stock or a little beefier, pretty new to this so not sure about gear ratios. maybe a front locker but i have an electronic one on the rear and feel its enough. any wisdom will be appreciated.

Yes the front and rear have to have the same ratio, also what do you mean by it was slipping, it is all gears, there is nothing to slip unless it's broke.
