Default Flowmaster question!

Alright so here is my ordeal...

I currently have a Magnaflow hi flow cat, and magnaflow muffler.
But I want louder and more aggressive sound. The only problem is losing exhaust flow, I've heard the Flowmaster does a good job of being restrictive.
What are your guys opinions? Which one is the best performing Flowmaster muffler and aggressive. I know the Super 40, Delta Flow, and Super 44.

I've researched tons of sites and even the flowmaster site but it's all a puzzle to me

I just want to know what the best performing one is with an aggressive sound.

Thanks guys!

Super 44 is known to be a aggressive sounding muffler. My bro has it on his XJ and he likes it.

I don't imagine there will be much difference muffler to muffler on a stock 4.0

Thanks, Does he ever get droning or get annoyed with too much interior noise?

Try the Cherry Bomb Pro muffler. Its aggressive and half the cost of the FMs.

Super 44 on my rig, and while it sounds great at idle and low rpm, it does drone on and on while at lower speeds in town to the point where it sounds "ricey" to me.

Would check into the Super 40 imo.

i have a walker down pipe with out the pre-cat....which changes the sound completely; i also have a high flow cat and 2.5 fm spr 44. i am 41 yrs old...and i love the low rpm drone in town. everyone looks.lol. at high way speeds above 2400rpm it does get droney again. but at 60-65 its not bad at all. you just have to know that no matter what you do...fm have drone. period.

so if you dont want that;go turbo muffler.

Also fm is the only muffler i have heard on these inlines that dont sound ricey or pitchy at any rpm. its always deep and rumbly. never tiny sounding.

Awesome. And the drone part won't bother me so much...my gf may have to put up with it

But thanks guys for all the help I really appreciate it. I think I'll go with the Super 40. It seems to be right where I want it.

good choice if i had it to do over again, i would go with the spr 40 too. its bigger case makes it have an even deeper tone. So when this muffler goes thats what im getting. Glad we could help.

Does your state require inspection ? and is muffler required if not a cat and pipe where muffler is can produce a very aggresssive sound and saves money ....jm2cw...
