FlowKooler water pump
i know im necro'ing an old thread, but its not the worst ive seen lol and lets face it, if I started new thread someone would have talked smack about googleing it :P
I was just wondering if there are any updates from bambam about his experience, or if anyone else has 2 cents to throw in, about to pull the trigger on one for my 90 that I am converting over to an open system. I figure that I might as well do this while I am in there.

I dropped money on a Hesco. My opinion, go with a stock replacement that has a lifetime warranty from your local parts store. Your money would be better put elsewhere.

I ordered one a week or so ago from Quadratec... still on back order- that is all I can really say so far!

I have one. No complaints. It works. As far as how well? I did a lot at the same time. I would over heat driving down the road. Now it won't touch 210 up hill with a load
that is what I am going for. I am pretty much changing everything, thats why I want the water pump too because it would be the only thing left from the old system. well that and the heater core, and I dont think anyone changes that for the fun of it......
i bought the zj fan clutch and will give that a whirl. I am just afraid of the fan eating my pretty new 3 core radiator. am I weird that my first thought when I opened my radiator box was, "damn thats sexy!" ? haha I did get some nice brown dog motor mounts to help prevent mr fan meeting mr radiator, but I have heard some bad stories. I dont do any crazy rock crawling or anything, but I do love to haul *** down fire roads as fast as I can, so that might jolt the unitbody just as bad as rock crawling flex.

You'll be fine with the ZJ clutch. I have a 3 row radiator and Brown Dogs. I've gone back and forth between the ZJ and XJ clutch. ZJ fits fine. It's tight but it fits. Make sure you do your tranny mount at the same time as the Brown Dogs
thats good to know! I have a new tranny mount to go in as well, so once my back feels a bit better, I have almost a grand worth of parts and fluids to throw at my jeep! hopefully it turns into a driver instead of lawn decor

My vote is still to save your money for bigger and better things... I speak from experience... There really isn't going to be a huge difference from stock. Unless your stock unit is really old and tired. In which case you should have replaced it with another OEM one a while ago.
