Default FlowKooler water pump

My radiator started leaking and with 154k on the odometer I want to replace the water pump while im in there. I was going to go OEM but Ive heard some people say if you have the extra cash get a flowkooler pump. So I have a few questions. How does it pump 2x the amount of coolant at idle and the normal amount above 3500rpm? Is it reliable? Is it worht the extra money? I dont mind spending the extra cash if its a good reliable product and will keep my motor alittle cooler when im in traffic and on side streets. Any additional input for this pump would be appreciated.

Do not buy a flowkooler! It is the same as a stock one only they welded a metal disc to it so can act like a hesco water pump. The disc will rub on the number 1 cylinder.

I'll disagree with this. I run a flowcooler and have no issues at all. Only thing that happened was I run cooler.

I have read about the impeller seperating in some reviews. Would a stock pump and a better radiator be better for cooling the motor down? Im not having overheating issue but while I'm in there I figure improve the system some way.

also I was thinking of my mechanical fan. Do you think I would see a bigger difference in cooling if I did a zj fan clutch or scrapped it and put in a ford taurus electric fan. I read the taurus fan can save gas and help relieve stress on the motor but there is some extra wiring and possible alternator up grade. which is better?

been running a flow kooler for over a year and had no problems one thing suggested make sure all fittings and clamps are tight and get a new radiator cap thats either 19 or 21 lb. if not you will find out just how well it is sealed. i helped a buddy do the taurus cooling fan swap and he was not impressed. im running a triple 8 set up and only get warm when crawling through the rocks when its 100+ outside

Ok I just ordered a 2 row radiator. I'm still on the fence for a pump. Think the flowkooler pump along with a 2 row rad would be over kill for a DD? or should I just run with the 2 row with a new oem water pump?

I drive mine everyday as well you will only notice at most a 10 degree change in temp. Biggest improvement I have is when u do get her hot it cools down much faster.

Are you talking about the mark on the block behind the waterpump?

I think there is a mark back there on most of our blocks. I dont think ots caused by the waterpump.

You saying it looks like its rubbing, but its not? I wouldn't think it would, its a mass made part... A LOT of people run them and love them...
