What I plan to do, again, if/when I decide to spray the bottom of my XJ with bedliner, is to go talk to the local 4x4 Shop, as they apply spray-on bedliners, and see what they would charge me to spray the XJ for me, assuming I am responsible for handling all the prep work excluding taping/masking.

Even though I would love to do it myself, with what it looks like I would have invested into the project, it may be cheaper to have them do it.
Well I'm 18 and I start my senior year in like 15 days ..and for me there's noooo way a shop doing it will be cheaper.

Yes, have a buddy that sprays truck beds do it for me. I got it ready. He taped and sprayed. Paid 600.00. But that is 'the buddy deal'. Should have been a lot more. Mine is done with Eagle.

Plus, many of them come in tons of colors, so I can actually camo it if those are good brands. Your ideas?
Heres the site I've been looking at they seem to know that theyre talking about

IMO raptor is the best one on that list.

ive sprayed it on a few different jeeps, and when prepped right the end result is right up there in quality with the profesional liners. texture and everything is very nice

EDIT, and also...ive sprayed/rolled many different brands of bedliner ranging from the budget Herculiner all the way to the top of the line stuff like Line-x and GatorHyde. so if you have a question about the quality of a certain brand i may be able to help you with it

I hear that just stops the rust..in my mind the whole point of lining it is too try and stop the rust.

My dads 03 F250 bed was bedlined with some walmart cheap *** stuff and my grandpas truck wasnt and his is rusting. and we just took off my dads to redo it at the same time as my jeep and hes got no rust. lol

U-Pol Raptor FTW. Check tptools.com for a decent price, $110 to my door. The prep is 95% of the time to do the job properly and is the most important step IMO. I sprayed the U-Pol to mainly combat the rust that was developing on my rockers, but it does nothing if they are rusting from the inside out.

Current pic, 2 years on the U-Pol........

u lost me there. but anyway, i hope that your not going to use the bedliner just to cover up the rust and hope it goes away. the rust will still be there, its just that the bedliner will hold it together instead of fall apart. the bedliner is only as good as the surface its stuck to
