So I'm in Germany and no tire can stick out past my flares. If I go 33s then I can just get the 10.5s... But I'd rather just take the jump to 35s. I'm going to use wheels with 3.75 backspacing. Whats the simplest way to cover them up?
I was going to buy the whole set of H.O.R.E.'s tube fenders but they won't ship to me.

See what sizes you can get a 35 in. If you get 16 inch wheels you might be able to get a reasonably narrow 35 too. I know interco makes some narrow tires like a 34x9.5 and 10.5. Those are pretty aggressive tires though I'm not sure what kind of driving you do. Otherwise yeah you can make or buy some flares for the added width

Sorry for the delay. I drive mostly highway, so anything too knobby is out of the picture... I think with the idea of getting some cheap tube and sheet metal welded on opens my options up to 35's nicely.
But if someone does know of a mild MT or a good AT in a 35x10.5 or 9.5 I'm up for suggestions. Even a 34x9.5 would be nice.
Cheers.

No one's got suggestions for a good and road friendly, skinnier than 12.5 35" tire? I suppose I could go for 16" rims if I had too as I'm buying new rims anyways?

Look at the Napier V2 or Flat flares. Both of them fit 35s easily and cover 12.5 width tires without an issue.
Im in the same boat as you right now, trying to find a way to cover my 12.5 wide tires to be legal in the U.K. lol

Do you think it would be more cost effective to just do the same thing? And it would probably turn out a bit stronger wouldn't it?

Personnally, I would just get 33x10.50 if you want skinny tires. You will gain a lot more offroad capability by adding 33s and a rear locker, than jumping to 35s
