Default Few ideas for mods!

Hello to everybody, I havent been here in ages, but here I come again...

I'm back in town and Im trying to help my dad with his 87 xj waggy. He has 31's and simple 4.5" lift, bumpers and winch.

After working out a few electrical problems, burn wires, and so on, Im working with the brakes. Happens to be that with all the extra weight, brakes seem to faint, and its hard to stop. Im looking for a brake booster and master cylinder from a grand cherokee. No big deal!

Now I told him I have at home, both diffs from a 94 Isuzu trooper. They are 3rd member style, 14 bolts and a ratio of 4.56 front and rear. I know that I need to modify the front one, cause is an IFS type, ut I was thinking that using a dana 60 front diffs steering knuckles, welded to the body, I can work it out, also allowing me room for "improvement" (bigger tires and more lift)

What u guys think of my idea, anddo u see any kinks that I might have not thing about.

so are you wanting to use the IFS system in the front of the XJ? thats how i read it. if so, its gonna be a ton of work and i think a solid axle would be easier to put in and more favorable for off roading.

No, I guest my bad english is not workig. I want to modify a IFS diff and turn it into a solid axle using the steering knuckles from a dana 60. Why the 60, because I know that it can be mod to use the steering attaching plates on the top of the pivoting point of the knuckle, giving me more clearance on the steering parts

If I find a pic, Ill post it

you would have to re-tube the center section, the tubes on it now probably only span like 3 feet lol. then you could put the knuckles on the new axle tubes
