Fender question
Hey gang. Looking for the right fenders for my goals. OME 3" lift on 16" Moabs wearing 255/70/16. my xj serves as my bad weather/winter/beach rig. Unfortunately last winter took its toll. The wheels sit eve so slightly wider than the fenders. Both drivers door have small rust spots from being peppered by salt all winter long. I'm looking for some fenders to help cover the wheels, but not too wide as to make the wheels look sunken in. My sports car roots shine through, gotta sit flush.
Pic added because threads with pics get comments. Pic is right before tint and smoked marker lights/turn signals . Looks so much better with tint

Napier flat flares stick out the least amount. They offer a really open wheel wells. For stock wheels or less offset crowd ( Moabs)I think Napier flats fit best with out looking bulky or like wings like the Bushwacker Flats.

Here's what you're gonna want to do. It appears the flare companies list the width of the flare from the body of the Jeep. Measure the distance from the face of your tire to the body, find a flare at that same measurement. To measure that distance, place a 4' ruler across the face of the tire and measure with a short ruler from the 4' ruler to the body. BAM! Done.

Mud flaps will do more for that than any of the flares will...keeping the salt and road debris from your rockers and doors. And they'll cost a heck of a lot less.

I have my stock flares on right now (will be going to another flare for more tire room), but up until earlier this year when I decided to sell my original factory mudflaps, I was running just the front pair and they did an awesome job of keeping my rockers and doors clean. I am running about 5" of lift with 33 x 10.5 BFG AT's on stock alum rims. I am planning on jumping to 35x12.5's.
To that end, I'd suggest running a factory type plastic mudflap. Like these (only this seller is a ***** - I sold my complete set with hardware for $35 on CL)...http://www.ebay.com/itm/97-01-Jeep-C...VX5yKf&vxp=mtr
or these:

Or see if you can find them at a pick n pull.
