Fender Flare Help
I'm trying to find info on putting new fender flares on my '91 Cherokee 2-door, but I'm not sure if I can since I've already cut out my fenders. Wondering how much metal needs to be on the fenders to be able to properly install the flares. I'm gonna have much wider axles and larger offset wheels real soon and probably gonna have to put some kind of flare on.
Here's a shot of the Jeep with the fenders cut out.

Napier Precision V2 flares are legit.. They are plastic, like bushwhackers, but require trimming and I think you'd be fine. Ask the guy who sells them in the vendor section, I asked and he said if you cut up to the fender contour, you'd be cool.
I like the HOOLIGAN or H.O.R.E. metal flares. They cover the entirefender, are close to $800 bucks, but are pretty badass. I just moved to Wyoming and keep slinging magnesium chloride, or whatever the hell they put on the roads here, all over my rig. It's eating up my herculiner and when I compare the cost of linex-ing my fenders, rockers, and quarter panels + buying flares, I'm not too far off of Hooligans price. I'd probably get them powder coated. I've wanted JCR rear quarter armor for awhile, factor that in and Hooligan's product is pretty much a no brainer.
Also -- If you're going full-width with your axles, Hooligan can accomodate.
Here are the links:
Napier Precision V2 flares (might be cheaper in forum)
Hooligan's burly *** metal flares
check them out.. sweet stuff
Oh yeah -- both are available in forum. Hit them up and they might kick ya a discount.

I made some flares out of 1x3 aluminum angle (front) and 1x2 aluminum angle (rear). You can draw a template of your fenders on cardboard and bend the angle on a bench vise (little at a time) until the desired bends are acheived. If you could find the aluminum, it shouldn't be more than $40 in materials + paint.

TJ flares would also work on your fenders. You still have a lot of metal to mount them on. I put TJ rears on both the front and back fenders of my XJ.

I have not taken any pictures of mine, but I used this build as inspiration. I think mine turned out very well. Way better than Bushwackers at a fraction of the cost.

The black on the fenders is brushed on bedliner and the angle is 1/8" thick. If you can find a business close to you that does awnings/canopies or exterior shutters, they would be your best bet..
