Stock with the muff patched out but still all the way back. Sounds great on my 99. Not to loud just nice deep sound. Much like the sound on flowmaster but without the cost.

Use the search. There's TONS of exhaust threads on here. You're asking for opinions anyway. There's no "best sounding exhaust" for anything because its all personal preference.

I have the Spr 44 kit from Mudfrog, a member on here. I haven't put it on yet.
I searched on youtube for clips. That would be your best bet.

I paid 160. shipped for the 2.5" catback, 2 hangers, the FM spr44, and his thunderbolt high flow cat. You can't beat it. If a flowmaster is what you want check out his site. His **** is very good quality.

Did you loose any torq?

That sounds like it would be TO free-flowing.

Not at all. I ran it like that before the header and still had no problems. Header really improved low end gruut. The header was only 130 and the muffler was 80ish about 15 bucks for the pipe to replace the cat. I just welded the o2 sensor back into the pipe where the cat used to be. And the check engine light is not on and never has been since I did that in case u were wondering ha. Well worth it

Don't mean to get off topic here. Sorry o/p.

Whta about your upstream o2. Is it still inuse? Are you using your stock down pipe,or did the header come with one.

The reason i'm asking is because i have been on a wall about getting a header for my 99.I was worried about too much loss of backpressure. thanks.
Jay.

There are 2 o2 sensors on mine. One after where the cat was and on the head pipe. Both are still in use. There is not one on the header itself, and the header I purchased did not come with a new head pipe. I have not had any problems with loss of back pressure. There is a crimp in the stock headpipe to provide back pressure.
