Default Dual exhaust opinions???

Ok so today i finally got under my jeep to grease all the u-joints and steering components and got to looking at my exhaust and started to do some thinking.lol Im curious how it'd look/sound with a single in muffler dual out(as pictured below) and exit them out the back stock location on each side, would that be dumb or alright to do?(serious opinions i wont be offended.lol) plus how would it sound? the whole exhaust needs redone so i figured while it was getting done i'd make it a little different than others. Also what'd be a good muffler to go with?

I wanted to do duals a couple years ago. I was at zero lift at the time and the shop I took it to advised me not to do it because of how close the piping would be to where my fuel pump lines etc were. I like the look myself, but I didn't want to take the risk. If I were you, I'd have a professional exhaust guy take a look at your setup and go from there. There are threads her on CF with pics of good dual exhaust setups. I think you would get a great sound from a flowmaster and dual outlets.

Flow Master is the one I would go with if I wanted to shell out some cash. People have tried this before. Its a tight fit with the filler neck on the driver side rear. Most people I have seen try a true duel set up and give up with the 02 sensor problem. Good luck.

Why's that? It didnt have one when i bought it, plus im not a huge fan of cat's anyway dont much see the point of them...Just a harmless question but whats the huge deal on not having one, im not trying to rile anyone up or anything just curious. Where im located its not illegal so i just dont see the big deal.

i got a customer wants to do this exact thing...first if you go with a flowmaster spend the $10 extra and go stainless...second it definatly can be done i just have a thing against inline motors with daul exhaust out the back..the flowmaster almost gives it a v8 sound at an idle but they still sound like a jeep of idle

x2. I think dual exhaust should only be TRUE dual exhaust. An exception could be a cummins but that's a diesel.

Ya i agree that 6 cylinders alone shouldn't be dualed but i figured with the bigger 6 cyl it would sound better, im not one of them people who'd spend a lot of extra money on dual exhaust just for the looks.lol I do like the dual exhaust look but not if it doesn't sound any better than a single, then its just a waste of money in my opinion.

Well i bought my jeep wit the single inlet dual outlet flowmaster n the pipes come straight out the back. I like the sound but dont like the looks (wheelie bars) lol. I plan on cuttin the tips off and just running low profile turn downs off the muffler. I like the sound of turn downs but some people say its to loud in the cab.
