Engine swap
I have a 1988 jeep cherokee limited gold series with a 4.0 inline 6 I also have a 1996 jeep cherokee sport it has 4.0 inline 6 high output motor can I put it in the 88 using the exshaust intake manifold I just need the long block or is there more to this than I can see I know the distributor diffrent can't I just bolt the 88 distributor in place of the other one or does anybody know can you help

Yes. Use your 88 distributor, manifolds, flywheel/flexplate. Treat it as a longblock swap. Be sure to remove the block plug on the driver side of the 96 engine before installation. That's where the Renix CTS needs to go.
