Electrical Issue
2000 Cherokee Laredo. Intermittent tail light issues. Works some of the time, blowing fuses the next. Wiring has been thoroughly gone over.
Is it a poltergeist?

blowing fuses is a sign of a shortage....insulation of the wiring somewhere in the circuit has worn/stripped & is making contact with the chassis....intermittently not working could be a loose/corroded connection
have u noticed a pattern? (i.e. blow a fuse only when u press the brake pedal, or only happens with headlamps on, or when rear window defrost is on, etc.)
x2 on checking with multi-meter

Wow. Thanks for the quick responses!
I found a handful of wires that looked like they were possibly abused (I got this Jeep 2nd hand, has signs of teenager abuse). I cut the wires in question, cleaned up the copper (green crap), fixed the issue.
But then the driver's side directional quit working where it hadn't been an issue before I "fixed" the problem. Passenger's side works as it did before, no prob. Just the driver's side is "out", and it's blinking rapidly at the dashboard. No power to thew back, the front's trying to tell me there's an issue.
Thank God the weather broke, and it's nice out. It wasa long winter & I'm in Maine.
Thanks for all of your help, people!
