Okay. I have a question. How do I wire the factory electric fan to a switch with the power not coming from the ECM. I am looking to completely eliminate the ECM from the situation. Can I wire it straight to the battery, or should I use a fuse, or something else. How much power does the fan take to operate?

You should be able to wire in an override switch into the existing connection. Otherwise, you will need to disco the 2-wire plug from the fan, and run a new relay/fuse and switch setup. If you splice into existing wiring you shouldn't need to run an additional relay, but I would definitely run an in-line fuse of sorts.s

I don't know much about relays and such. Do you know what amp/voltage Relay/fuse I should use. I currently have the fan wires to the switch spliced into the wires that come from the ecm. It worked great until a couple months ago. It started blowing the under hood fuse randomly when I run the electric fan. So I decided I wanted to bypass it all instead of trying to figure out why it is blowing. I just need to know what to get in order to make it work.

Which writeup did you use. Did you splice to the write wires. Its probably easier to figure why it started blowing the fuse. Did you splice into the wires right.
