Default Electric fan belt routing

Doing my electric fan swap today, just wanting to confirm that this will be my new belt routing w/out the mech fan pulley... I've found the new belt to be an 82 3/4" 6 rib belt

I'm a graphic designer, I'm going to replace the sticker under the hood when I'm done lol

I probably wouldnt do it that way because you're loosing alot of traction on the crank and alternator your belt may slip on heavy acceleration. Thats why i moved my alternator up to the ac compressor location.

Why are you getting rid of the water pump pully? You know you need it still

Can't you just take the fan off the pulley? Why mess with new routing?

If you take the fan off the WP pulley your belt routing with be the same, I think you are over thinking this mod. Ive done it on several Jeeps

The fan isn't on the water pump guys. On a Cherokee the mechanical fan sits on the passenger side of the engine compartment and the water pump is still on the center front of the engine so Jeep ran the mechanical fan off of an idler pulley.

thats exactly how i routed mine when i removed my mechanical fan and put my electrical fan... be prepared to grind down your lower alternator bracket when you route it like that, the belt will hit it

I'm rebuilding my jeep and im puting a new radiator and triple electric fan in with my new stroker motor. I already took the fan off of the AC mount pulley, but is there a reason i can't just keep it like that?

Exactly... The clutch fan was on a pulley with no other components relying on it. Since I am doing the Taurus fan swap, even the plate to which the clutch fan/pulley mounts also needs removing. That 1/4" is a deal breaker.

Alternator bracket wasn't bad, just took some time to grind the right areas and test fit.

Thanks for all the feedback
