I'm getting parts lined up for gear and locker install next week. I was seeing if everything looked right, and the shims don't seem correct to me. I read more than one place that I needed GM 8.5 to install the e locker. It looks like the special bearings are right, but the shims are the same OD as the races, but the ID is way bigger than the e locker OD. I think they might work for shimming outside the bearings but I've read that's a pain.

The first pic just shows the e locker,

Second pic shows how the shims themselves are too big to go between the bearings and carrier.

Third pic is a stepped shim thing which I think is too fat to use outside of the bearings.

Fourth pic shows shims in the stepped deal against the race.

I would greatly appreciate some help on this!
