Default Durango steering & spacer ?

I was wanting to think that I read somewhere that there were two different Durango steering boxes ? One larger, maybe different ratio ? Also thinking of upgrading to a Grand Cherokee steering pump. Who makes the best steering box spacer ?

Yes, non-plow and plow.

Plow version is fixed ratio. Non-plow is variable ratio (like the XJ box). You want non-plow from a 98 or a 99 V8 Durango.

The spacers are all pretty much the same. IIRC the C-Rok spacers used to come with sleeves for the bolts that run through the unibody rail. Not sure if they still do.

My box recently starting leaking so I've been looking into this a bit. I found a seller on amazon that offers NEW (not reman) Durango boxes for ~$275. I'm not super confident in the vendor but I might try my luck with them instead of going through several reman boxes till I get a good one. its P/N 82-00527AN from "BuyAutoParts," which can also be seen under the same P/N on carsteering.com. Here's the link:

Amazon Amazon

If you try this box be sure to let us know how it goes.

If you're not gonna wheel real heavy, I would just go 93 to 98 ZJ box.

I don't plan on heavy stuff. So go with the pumps and reservoir as well ? I'm getting ready to do the ZJ tie rod upgrade. I don't think, I'll go with the WJ knuckle swap. Biggest tires I want would be 33s. May stick with 31x10.50x15s ?
