Default Durango alternator

Soo today at the JY, out of impulse, i snagged a alternator from a durango. The mounting looked similar, but the alt. itself was alot beefier, the durango was either a 2002 or a 1998....
can anyone help me figure out if it is proper fit and if it is much of an upgrade?
heres some pics-

it was a newer looking durango....

i sure hope its atleast a small upgrade but im almost positive it;; mount up easy

I didn't up grade any of that. Did do some grinding to make it fit. Works like a champ and voltage never drops.

Im just figurin' If i'm already in there, i might as well just put in sime Thick-*** Wires just so i know it's done right and i know im getting sufficient flow and not gonna melt apart my wiring.

I would suggest upgrading wires. I was going to to when I sourced a GC 136amp alt, but money kinda disappeared lol. Check out 5-90's site. I forget the exact name, but there is a REALLY nice wiring setup for sale. That's what I was gonna do.
