so iv seen more n more companys come out with a duel kit. what is the benifits too runing a duel stabalizer kit verse a solo kit? any cons? do they get banged up on rocks being on ur tie rod? any thoughts opinions n experiences with them are greatly appreciated. just wanna know if its worth the extra change when i need too upgrade my 3 year old rough country one.

 

No, you shouldnt waste your money on a dual stabalizer kit for the jeep... although i must say it looks mean with it lol........As long as you keep your steering in good shape there is barely a need for the single stabalizer

 

Most on here will tell you that the stabilizer is not needed if you have your steering components set up properly.
And to replace worn components like tie rod ends when they go.
The stock one or a double just masks the problem and gives you a false sense of security. You should be vigilant in keeping the steering components at their best. They really are considered a maintenance item like brakes and shocks.

so whats so wrong with a dual set up...all i can say is my steering components r set up properly and it dont like potholes and dips in the road at all...im planning on going with the new rough country dual stabilizer set up

 

I have a single steering stabilizer now, a cheap $30 one. And when I hit any pot holes or bumps in the road my steering wheel "vibrates" alot. I'm think of going with a dual set-up.. Maybe a single high quality one. Idk what there is besides OME though.

 

The stabilizer is not your problem, I can almost assure you you have loose front end parts and or a bad alignment.

I dont even run a stabilizer on my DD, 2in BB and 31x10.5s and it goes down the road like a dream.

 

I had two good shocks that were on my XJ prior to my lift, so I took one of them, fabbed up some brackets, and installed it as a second stabilizer. While my front end parts are in good shape and really didn't need another stabilizer, it was a fun project to do and actually I notice a slight firmer ride and steering.

 

All I can say is something isn't set up right or is worn out.

I run no stabilizer and no problems. stabilizers just hide failing steering parts
