Default Driveshaft / u joint issue

I've got a 98 cherokee. I just installed a 5.5 LA lift and I am currently working out a few bugs. I installed a SYE and a custom drive Shaft also.. I got on the interstate with it today and a few miles down the road I started getting real bad vibrations.. Pulled off and turns out the transfer case side of my drive Shaft was all loose and just kinda flopping around.. By this I mean the driveshaft was still bolted to the transfer case, just the u joints to and the little ball thing inside and all those components were loose.

Does this mean I have to get a new driveshaft?? I don't see anyway to get the ball out to replace it..

Oh no. That ball comes out. Was a total PITA for me though. Ended up welding a piece of flat stock across that ball and then tightening the flat stock into the vice.

I then proceeded to pull it out with the jeep. Picture related.

You might want to get the biggest screwdriver that will fit into that hole in there and pry like a madman. I tried that too, and it budged a little bit, but not enough to slip out.

I bought the replacement on Rockauto. It's called a "Universal Joint Ball Kit".

Go to Rockauto and then go to "Drivetrain". Under "Drivetrain" at the bottom of the list click "Universal Joint Ball Kit".

Actually i lied about the flatstock. I stuck a bolt in that hole and welded that into place and then pulled it out.

Found a picture of everything taken apart. You can even see the pieces welded together.

Awesome, thanks.. So if the screwdriver didn't work How'd you get it out? I do not have access to a welder.

If you don't want to wait on rock auto to ship you one Oreilly has them on the shelf. Part is a Precision 617.

Ok, I got the old ball off and I got the new ball kit.. I wanna make sure I install it correctly.. And have all the pieces oriented correctly.

Can anyone tell me if it goes like this:
