I got an 8.25 rear for 100$ and wanna swap it into my jeep that has the Dana 35,I was told the 35 rear drive shaft will not work with the 8.25 rear unless I'm lifted 4+". Does anyone know if that is true or know how I can get around buying a different shaft

Pull the driveshaft and measure the distance from your T case to the Dana 35 pinion. Then install the C8.25 and measure from the T case to the 8.25 pinion. That will give you the actual difference, if your driveshaft will work great, if not junk yard shaft will be the cheapest way to go.
