driftwood rear bumper?

i have a lot of drift wood laying around and the idea popped in my head of making a driftwood rear bumper, has anyone ever tried this? any thoughts are appreciated!!

Don't do it. Bad idea. Ugly and useless. Just because you have a lot of something laying around the yard does not mean you have to bolt it to your Jeep.
A buddy of mine got rear ended and crushed his stock bumper, he replaced it with a pressure treated 4x4. He even painted 4x4 on it.
Im not saying its a good idea, but similar things have been done.

Yeah, drive through a Walmart parking lot and you will see at least one POS with a white trash wooden bumper. Still does not make it right.
