Hi. I tried to post at vendor forum but seems I'm not allowed.
Searched everywhere for a doubler for my np/242 couldn't find it. All are for np231.
I won't swap my np242 I love the part time fearure on it.
I can't also afford an atlas or rubicrawler.
Can someone help me who to contact in the US?
Building and selling it?
Thank you.

You would need an adapter plate, a clocking ring, a spud shaft, and a secondary crossmember to support the second transfer case.
Then you gotta figure out the shifting linkage because the np231 ll have to be rotated 180 degrees.

242/300 won't work. Only way u can reduce the gearing while keeping the full time mode would be a 231/242 doubler.

What about using a underdrive box which works like a dioubler.Take a look at http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/Magnum%20Box.htm that bolts between your trans and t case and acts like a doubler.

A while ago I thought about a doubler. I did some research and found, because I have no access to free or cheap parts, that in the long run it was less expensive to get an Atlas II. XJwonder"s second post lists some of the parts that would be needed, not all. This is what I did; https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/at...lation-190099/
