I know most hate on the 35, but it's what I have for now, so is there any cost effective mod for any type of C-clip eliminator? I just got the parts from a ZJ for rotor swap, figure while I was in there I would change something if I could. I have heard to "sleeve" it, but I am a real Axle newb. Any thoughts? thanks

You can buy a super 35 kit, but be cheaper to do a 8.8 swap or 97 to 01 c8.25 29 spline swap and put them Zj disc on it

I could buy about four 8.8's plus have money left over for the same price as a super 35 kit.

It's like polishing a terd...just go and get a c8.25 from the junk yard, even if you get a 27 spline, it's worlds better than a Dana turdy5

so if I seek out an 8.25 , there is a difference in the 97+ via the 29 over the 27 but they both work? Also would I need anything else, I'm sure my U bolts won't work...

I have 2 8.25's with one going into my XJ. The U-bolts need to be larger for the Chrysler and (at least for a auto trans) the drive shaft length is slightly different.

the drive shaft length is slightly different.
As in which way ? BC at a 4" lift now if it got any shorter I would need a different setup.

Agreed, waste of time/money to do anything to a D35. If you do some Junkyard crawling you can get an Exploder 8.8 that already has a LSD and disc brakes.

X2.....However, not all 8.8 are the same. do some research, you want LSD and the 31 spline shafts to be stronger than a Dana 44 and slightly less stronger than a dana 60. The only draw back to this axle is the "tin foil" diff cover, I replaced mine with a Solid...
