Default Do I need to shorten my driveshaft?

So I installed a RC 3" lift on my 2000 XJ with the 8.25. After I installed the kit I had some vibes so I got a rugged ridge SYE and a jy driveshaft. No more vibes but I'm worried because there isn't much slip left in the driveshaft. (see pic) what do you guys think? Should I get it shortened or will I be ok?

Definitely a little on the long side. You'll probably want to have the DS tube shortened about .75", that should give you approximately 1.25" at ride height.

You'll be fine for now, but don't weight down the back end with lots of weight (2-3 adults plus full tank...???) or you could possibly crack your transfer case if your on a bumpy road...

Thanks for the responses. Does anyone know a ballpark price for shortening a driveshaft? I've already replaced all the u-joints and even the cv joint on this driveshaft so I'd rather not get a different one.

Probably $35-50...???

I had one shortened last week and it was $35 and that included the balancing. But that's around here. Either find or ask a reputable 4x4 shop or find a tractor repair/manufacturing shop to have it done.
