have u done this before? ..... there are a few things to think about before diving in there . u should repalce all bearings ,seals, pinoin shim kit , carrier shim kit , proper carrier , to know how to set proper pinion depth , backlash , etc . i have done a fare share. if your pattern aint right it gonna cost yah . but if ur down for the challenge the more power to yah ! i got my 410's out of a early 90;s yj with a 4cyl.

Gear swaps can get quite envolved. You would need to start out with a master install kit and you'll need some tools most home wrench turners don't have like a magnetic base for a dial indicator to set up proper back lash

Case spreader helps a good bit too. I've done it without but once you use one you'll never do it without one. Like said several specialty tools and takes a long time. That's why shops charge so much.

Are there tool kits available out there for doing this kind of job, or is it something you just have to piece together?

wow 4.56's are deep gears for 33's, say good bye to gas mileage.

Yes there are tools you can buy for doing your own gear installs, that the easy part. The hard part is getting them set up right

Maybe for people with money to do gear changes. My 1st jeep had 35's with 4.10's and i thought it was alright.
