If you are in any State other than Socialist California you will be just fine. It has only been "known by the State of California to cause Cancer" for years, still yet to see any proof of this. Somebody based their thesis on an absolute assumption and now we all have to live with the Failed Science and lack of proof.
I remember when they said Milk caused Cancer too. What they failed to share was that you would have to overdose on milk everyday for 350 years before there would be any chance of this happening. Potatoes are poisonous also, but you would have to eat a truckload a day for weeks to actually get poisoned from them.

Someday I will share the truth about lubricants. They all come from the same source and rack at the refinery wholesale. The only thing that is different is the marketing BS and the additives that just turn into Aggregates or Caustic Elements when combusted at certain temperatures.

Probably all the same I run a synthetic blend Delo. I only prefer chevron and Baldwin filters because I buy in bulk at close to cost. People tend to look at you funny when you buy oil in 5 gallon buckets and filters by the case for personal use.

There are those that feel the more they spend the better off they will be. I have tore down A LOT of Engines and the best results I have seen yet was from Walmart "Supertech" (Valvoline) brand when changed as often as it should be. I like this community man. they need to know, lol

You made a good choice, though. Chevron products are impossible to find up here. Last one I saw was some gear oil.
And man, I wish I had cases of Baldwin filters lying around! I was about to pull the trigger on a bunch until I found a close-out sale on Rock Auto and snagged 8 Mobil 1 filters for $3 each

I found a receipt yesterday for a B2-HPG (or MPG... can't remember) for $18.89. And they're supposedly the local distributor with a lot of commercial truck accounts. :|

It's simple
Just "Change your oil and filter". It really does not matter what oil or filter you prefer to run in it, It just needs to be changed more often than anyone will suggest or advise you to. What they don't share is that "Extended life" oils or filter "micro porosity" is absolutely not an issue if you change your oil as often as you really should.
You may as well use the cheapest that you can find (except Pennsoil)because if they are not changed every 3500 to no more than 5000 miles the caustic and aggregates are already starting to do damage to your Iron no matter what you prefer or have been "Advised to prefer" by those that want to tell you how to "Extend" the life of the lubricant or filter.
You are not "extending the life of the Oil or filter" you are "extending the life of your Engine" Just the caustic acids that are created during the normal combustion process after 3500 miles is eating your engine to death. Manufactures, Used car dealers and even myself as an Auto repair shop owner thank you.
I tore down my own 75 Ford Pinto German made 2000 cc 4 banger with 500,000 miles on it (no oil burning yet) in 1984 and found that it only needed standard Crank and Rod bearings, a new set of rings and only a slight cylinder ridge removal. This car still runs today with this basic "Rebuild" as we called it in the day.
Why? I changed the oil and filter every 3500 miles and used Valvoline because Walmart was not yet a store to sell me the "Supertech" Valvoline and Fram brands yet. the new owner is using it now
As for diesels, This same oil is rated for diesels also. It to has the key additive that keeps it from thinning out if fuel from an injector or rail bleeds into the oil. This is an essential factor to save a Diesel Engine if you happen to have a fuel to oil contamination issue. I have been using it in my own 94 Dodge 6.9 12 valve Cummins for years now with the best of results because I keep it changed at no more than 5000 miles
